Headteacher's Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of our Governors, staff and pupils, I would like to welcome you to Battle Hill Primary School.

As head, I feel privileged to be leading such a wonderful team of staff, who have a shared vision; work tirelessly to provide our children with positive school experiences; meet the needs of every child, providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment and continue to develop the outstanding relationships that exist with our pupils and community.

We have established an extremely special learning community here at Battle Hill, with our children, their wellbeing and their learning at the heart of it. Our teachers focus on raising aspirations, raising achievement and raising happy, sociable young learners who are proud to attend their school and we celebrate on a daily basis the individual and collective efforts of our children.

Possibility, Enrichment, Emotional Awareness and Community

Our aim is that our curriculum provides all pupils with opportunities to reach their full potential and develop the life-long skills needed to make positive contributions to their community and wider society. The provision of a broad, rich curriculum ensures that pupils leave our school fully prepared for future education and careers, with the firm belief that potential possibilities are unlimited.

Education is the key to success and the single most important factor in increasing your child’s chances in life and their education is as important to us as it is to you, so we look forward to working with you in a happy, caring home/school partnership and meeting with you and your family on many occasions during your child’s time with us.

Please contact me if you would like to visit us to find out more about our school, which was described in our latest Ofsted report (February 2017) as, 'a warm, friendly and caring community in which pupils develop both socially and academically'.
